SPEECH PATHOLOGY &
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AT STRIDE

Included. Ongoing. Delivered in-centre

From 2026, Stride is bringing Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy into our early learning centres, providing assessment and ongoing therapy within the care environment, fully included as part of the Stride offering and at no additional cost to families.

Working closely with children every day, we’ve seen a growing number who may benefit from additional support whether that’s speech, communication, movement, or regulation. In most cases, it’s our educators who notice these early signs first, and too often families are then left to navigate what comes next on their own.

We believe families deserve earlier support and clearer guidance. By building allied health into early learning, Stride is ensuring support is part of the journey, not something families have to chase.

Why We're Doing This

We regularly see families in the same position:

  • An educator gently raises a concern
  • A parent feels unsure – Is this something to worry about? Will they grow out of it?
  • Families are then faced with finding support on their own
  • Waitlists are long, pathways are confusing, and private services can be costly

For many families, this creates stress, delay, and uncertainty during the most important years of development.

We also know that early intervention makes a meaningful difference. When children are supported early, strategies can be introduced sooner, confidence can grow, and challenges are often easier to manage over time.

Stride believes families shouldn’t have to navigate this alone.

What makes Stride different

This is not just identification and referral.

Stride’s allied health professionals will be employed as part of our teams and work alongside educators within the early learning environment. This means children can receive

  • Professional assessment and diagnosis
  • Individualised treatment planning
  • Ongoing therapy delivered in-centre
  • Support that fits within their regular care routine

When additional or external services are needed, families are guided through next steps with clarity and support — not left to manage it alone.

All allied health assessment and therapy is included as part of the Stride offering, with no additional charge.

A new standard for early learning in WA

Stride is currently building this model, recruiting Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, preparing our educators and centres, and planning a staged rollout from 2026. We’ll continue to share updates as this initiative progresses.

By bringing assessment and ongoing therapy into early learning, fully included and delivered in-centre,  Stride is setting a new standard for how childcare can support children and families during the years that matter most.

Because early support matters.

What this means for families

  • No additonal fees for allied health support
  • Earlier access to assessment and intervention
  • Ongoing therapy support, not one-off reccomendations
  • One connected team supporting your child

By integrating Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy into the early learning environment, Stride is removing many of the barriers families face when seeking support. Children can be assessed and supported as part of their regular care routine, while families gain clarity, continuity, and reassurance that support is ongoing.

This is part of how Stride delivers care, not an optional add-on.

Important Note: This support focuses on early development and everyday strategies. It works alongside families and existing healthcare services and does not replace medical or diagnostic care.
