2026 Traineeship Program

Real experience inside a Stride Early Learning Centre. Full-time or part-time options. Nationally recognised qualification. No HECS. No prior experience needed.

For the Trainee

Build a meaningful career while you learn. Get paid from day one, then following a successful three month probation period, begin a nationally recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at no cost while continuing to build your skills through real, hands on experience.

Gain hands-on experience in a real centre environment from day one, building practical skills that classroom learning alone cannot provide.

Work alongside qualified, experienced educators who are committed to mentoring and supporting your growth.

Complete your qualification in a structured, supported environment with dedicated supervision and regular feedback.

Build a professional foundation in a sector with strong, long-term employment demand across Australia.

Develop skills across child development, curriculum planning, family communication and workplace professionalism.

Benefits for Parents

Your child earns a wage from day one, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification, removing the financial pressure of full-time study.

A traineeship provides real structure and purpose during a critical transition period, moving from school into a professional environment with clear expectations and accountability.

Your child is supervised, mentored and supported throughout by qualified educators and centre leadership, not left to figure things out alone.

The early childhood sector offers genuine long-term employment security, giving your child a credible career pathway with strong demand across Australia.

A traineeship builds life skills beyond the qualification: communication, responsibility, teamwork, time management and professional conduct.

Your child works in a safe, regulated and nurturing environment that holds high standards for every person in it, staff included.

Completing a traineeship at 17 or 18 means your child enters adulthood with a qualification, paid work history and a professional reference behind them.
