What are you applying for?

Choose one. The key policy rules are shown on each card.

How often does your child attend?

Because your pattern varies, day counts below are an estimate — the centre team verifies against your actual bookings.

Which days does your child usually attend?

Weekends aren't counted. A public holiday that falls on one of your child's booked days during the leave doesn't receive the holiday discount, but you can apply for a public holiday replacement day for it. Children booked five days a week receive the discount on the public holiday instead.

When will your child be away?

The discount needs at least 14 days' notice before the first day of leave.

Any week in which your child takes holiday leave counts as one full week, even if they aren't away for every booked day that week.

Is this absence at the very start or very end of your enrolment?

For example: leave before your child's first attended day (their first actual sign-in — not the start date on your enrolment), or leave during a notice period where your child won't be returning afterwards. The discount doesn't apply to these absences.

Will you provide a medical certificate for any of these days?

Days evidenced by a medical certificate are treated as absences under Child Care Subsidy rules, so the holiday discount can't also apply to them.

Only gazetted WA public holidays falling on weekdays are listed. Holidays less than 14 days away can no longer be requested.

Does this public holiday fall on a day your child is normally booked to attend?

Is your account up to date — no overdue balance?
