Every child grows in their own way and at their own pace. Sometimes they simply need a little extra support to build confidence, strengthen communication or develop everyday skills. When that support is available early, it can make a meaningful difference, not just for children, but for the whole family.
As awareness of childhood development continues to grow, more families are looking for guidance sooner, and the value of getting support in place early is widely recognised. At Stride, our educators know each child well, so they are often the first to notice when a little extra support could help, whether that is building confidence with communication, strengthening everyday skills or settling into new routines.
Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy are available onsite at every Stride centre, included as part of the Stride day at no additional cost to enrolled families.
A More Connected Way to Support Families
When questions arise, families want clarity, reassurance and a clear next step. Juggling appointments and providers across different places can feel overwhelming, not because support does not exist, but because it often sits apart from everyday life.
Rather than treating learning and allied health as separate experiences, Stride brings them together. Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy are delivered inside all twelve Stride centres by experienced allied health professionals who work alongside our educators, and the support is included as part of the Stride day.
In practice, this means every enrolled child is screened by our allied health professionals from around 18 months of age, with regular reviews to keep development on track. Screening takes place onsite at your child’s centre, so there is no need to arrange outside appointments or take time away from work. If a child would benefit from ongoing therapy, that support also happens as part of their day at Stride, at no additional cost to enrolled families.

From there, families are connected with the allied health professionals working at their centre for the next steps. This allows children to:
- be seen within the early learning environment they already know
- receive support that connects to their everyday learning rather than a single appointment
- remain connected with external health services where additional support is needed
Educators are not expected to diagnose or provide therapy. They remain focused on knowing each child, supported by experienced allied health professionals as part of one connected team.
